TOPIC: Why Cooling Tower Life Cycle Costing?

    By: Chris Edmonson

Learning Objectives:

With the latest ASHRAE driven energy standards and owner growing demand to reduce their energy footprint, there is a need for a simple method to compare cooling towers on a life cycle cost basis. We are not aware of any specific code that provides a standard format for LCC on cooling towers. We are proposing a simple, easy method to compare different cooling towers with LCC cost information that will allow owners to make informed decisions.
